Would you like to display your own icon aka favicon in the address bar when your visitors view or bookmark your web page?
Well adding an icon (favicon) to your website is simple and easy. Follow these quick easy steps and you’ll be up and running no time….

- Now think of a design for your icon (favicon) that you would like to use and paint away.
- Once you happy with your new icon design save it as a .gif or .jpg file.
- Then visit a place called HTML Kit. It has a great tool for making icons online.
- Once you’ve followed their online instructions all you have to do is upload you new favicon.ico to the root of your site and bang! All done
It took me just a minute to do it and if your wondering what my icon is all about let me explain. I wanted the icon to have some meaning and I knew I wanted it blue to match the site. At first I thought I would create my icon or favicon as I should call it with the letters FH for freshhome. That didn’t look good so I thought I would use the year I was born. That didn’t look to hot until I thought about rotating it 90 degrees. Now it looks like a face plus it still has the number 80 there. That’s about it so get cracking on making your own icon (favicon) for your website.
