Going on the train to work is not a bad thing at all. Actually it can be very enjoyable indeed. I have read one book called Vince and Joy by Lisa Jewell whilst being on the train. I’m not too much of a book reader really. However that contradicts my actions when I do have a book in my hands. Lisa Jewell’s Ralphs Party is an excellent example of how I react to a good book. First of all I loved the cover (don’t judge a books by it’s cover…I know, I know). It’s funky and fresh and really appealed to me. As soon as I got my grubby hands on it, I didn’t let it go. Lisa’s subjects are typical, pridictable and sadly tragic. Why is that so good? Because Lisa doesn’t write the subject in a fashion that makes you sad but rather makes you relate to it and root for the underdog. I think that the people who read Vince and Joy will learn a lesson how we can’t control the future but instead influence outcomes.
Lisa Jewell I salute you…
